The corporate stuff

Data centers , computer IT, and running great businesses are my passion. I’m a serial entrepreneur. Nearly 20 years ago along with my wife I co-founded Dimension Systems, a value-added reseller (VAR) for enterprise information technology (IT) manufacturers. Earlier I held Industrial and Systems engineering positions at Boeing where I also managed one of the largest data centers.  I’ve also worked in the storage vertical markets handling performance management, business analysis and training and sales engineering support for all of the US and Canada. After years of visiting data centers around the country I saw firsthand how hard it was for the smart teams I was working with to manage their assets. That got me to thinking—there’s got to be a better way. So I set out to find a new approach and assembled the best team in the country to help launch Vizualiiz and the LightsOn solution.  Education: Western Washington University, BA Industrial Technology.

The corporate stuff

I’ve come up through the engineering ranks and lived and worked in and around data centers my entire career. I love the data side of building companies. Early on I held a number of engineering positions at companies such as Pioneer Standard, Avent Computer and Alisa Systems. I’ve also had a chance to be a part of a rapidly growing, large, international operation in my decade plus career at Amazon.  There I managed the gamut from retail systems, technology operations, and international data services to hardware lifecycles.  I’ve been an Officer, First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corp and graduated with a BA in Computer Science and Business from Western Washington University.
